Claire Currie

Claire Currie provides advice and representation primarily in the areas of Mental Health Law, Adults with Incapacity Law and Child and Family Law. Claire regularly appears within the Civil Sheriff and children’s referral courts within Ayrshire, Glasgow and other parts of the West of Scotland. She also provides representation to clients at Mental Health Tribunals and Children’s Panels. Claire is registered to provide representation to children in such proceedings.
Having completed her legal training and spent time working within a prominent Glasgow Firm, she joined the firm to work alongside her husband Tony in 2018. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor Claire attained an honours Degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Forensic Medical Science. She spent 8 years working in forensic mental health before returning to study law. Her expertise within the mental health system gives her a unique insight when undertaking mental health work in particular, and often sees her representing clients in criminal courts who suffer from mental ill health or learning disability.
Claire has lived in Ayr her whole life and enjoys representing clients within her local community and further afield.
